So ever since I’ve had my company, I’ve always offered website design. I have always felt that pretty much anyone that is selling a product, has a brand or is a brand needs to have a website. With the rise of social media in the past 5-10 years, a lot of people feel they use their Instagram or Facebook page as their website. Social media pages make being a brand easier but that doesn’t necessarily negate the reason for having a website. Over the past 3-4 years, I’ve been seeing a trend where brands will have a website because they feel like they need one but they either don’t use it at all or they really just not getting everything out of their website. At first, I was just using mine as a place to show my portfolio and all of the great things my company was doing but in the past 12 months, I realized that I need to be doing more with my site. So now I use my to increase my SEO ranking (that’s actually what I’m doing with this blog now lol), as well as use it as a hub to generate leads for my company. Now more than ever I feel like I need a website to do even more for me. So if you are a brand that you have a website but you are barely using it, these are some things that you can do to get more out of your website as well as use it to get paying clients from it. Create Leads. If you are in a creative based field or to be quite honest any field in general, you can always use your site to create leads for potential customers. I am always creating reasons for people to go from my social media page to my website. I have gotten into the mode of creating different forms that I can use to entice potential clients to come to my site, fill out a form that pertains to my business and then that will show up as a lead. I use a site called dubsado that allows me to create forms and see all my leads. Creating more leads has allowed me to generate more revenue for my business because if someone actually goes to my site and they go to the right form, I can see exactly what they want and it is a super easy and seamless process. No matter what your business is, you want to create opportunities for you to sell your products and services to people who are interested in what you offer. Lead generation form on your website is the easiest way to do that.
Increase Google Ranking With SEO. This is something that is actually new to me. In the past 3-4 months, I’ve been thinking more about how to appear in Google rankings and to get that traffic to my site. After all of the research that I did, the one thing that all of my research told me was to start writing more and start writing what you feel you bring to the industry from your perspective. So that is what I did. Having articles on your site that pertain to your industry especially having all of those necessary keywords into your article is necessary for you to start to get that traffic going to your site.
Increase Your Sales. The one thing I say a lot of the times when it comes to social media is that the purpose of it is to increase awareness but the second part of that is the most important. That is to be able to convert on all of that awareness that you are generating into sales. If you are selling a product you have to find new and creative ways to be able to take that online traffic and have people go to your site to create a sale. You can do that with specials, discounts, special coupon codes, and more. Whatever you do though, you have to find a way to be able to use your lead forms to get their info and make it a seamless process to transfer them into a sale. Most brands that are starting out create a site with the purpose of making a whole bunch of money from it, but usually, with that, they are missing the one main thing, and that is finding a reason to get people to go from your social media page to your website. When you have a good product and know-how to effectively convert then you are winning.
Hopefully, these tips can help you to take your website from complete dud to helping you bring in more traffic, leads and of course revenue. All you have to do is make a couple of small changes and you will be right there.
